Lotosblume Compact Wood Handle Auto Umbrella
I wanted this wood handle umbrella for two reason, I like the design and umbrellas always seem to disappear from our home much like Tupperwear lids and the second sock that gets lost in the wash.
I love vintage things and items that are inspired by vintage designs. This [amazon text=umbrella&asin=B01EWLEKGM] is reminiscent of something you would have seen in the 50s and 60s. I love the wood handle. Not only does it look nice, it is nice and smooth and comfortable to hold and you can easily hook it onto things when you’re not using it. I will say that it does make this [amazon text=umbrella&asin=B01EWLEKGM] a little bit heavy but it is less noticeable when the [amazon text=umbrella&asin=B01EWLEKGM] is open because the height of the open umbrella offsets the weight nicely.
This [amazon text=umbrella&asin=B01EWLEKGM] may look vintage but it functions like a modern umbrella. I love the juxtaposition of where the metal meets the wood and the sleek modern button that is almost hidden. This button both open and closes the umbrella and works smoothly.
I had my daughter help demonstrate this for me in my video review while my husband sprayed the hose off camera because it hasn’t rained here in forever, ironically it started raining about 10 minutes after filming and continued to rain the rest of the night so maybe this [amazon text=umbrella&asin=B01EWLEKGM] works as a modern rain dance? 🙂
The material of this [amazon text=umbrella&asin=B01EWLEKGM] is different than what I’m use to, it has more of a plastic feel. Time will tell if this is a good or bad thing and if I should have any issues in the future I will update my review but for now it is stylish, classy, and most importantly keeps me dry.
