iTurboS Flashing Sneakers

UPDATE: See the comment below from Meg about her experience with these shoes. My daughter’s lasted right up until she outgrew them and that’s when one of the chargers came disconnected which might have been partly our fault because it kept sliding into the shoe lining and we were using tweezers to get it out.

I got these light up sneakers for my daughter, she is 10 and now is officially the envy of all her friends and also a few adults (possibly including me). These shoes are beyond cool and they’re a lot nicer than I thought they would be. I anticipated that because they have the light up soles that the rest of the shoe would be pretty cheap but they are pretty nice and my daughter said they were very comfortable and she complains about everything so if they weren’t I would know.

We got the [amazon text=black pair&asin=B019FKNWV4] because she is a kid and she would ruin a white pair of shoes in less than a day. I like the style of these which surprised me because I am not typically a fan of high tops. I also like that these are suitable for a boy or a girl. She wears a 6.5 women’s and size seems perfect.

I am including a video review so you can see these up close and in action. Here’s what we’ve discovered so far. There are (2) charging cords included so you can charge both shoes at once because it would be a big bummer if you couldn’t. When these arrive they come with what seems to be a partial charge. We timed it and they lasted about 4 hours on their initial charge. It’s hard to tell exactly how long they take to charge back up but I would say a little over an hour and the full charge seemed to last 6-8 hours (she was at school so I don’t have an exact time but she said they died right at the end of school and she had them on before school started.)

When you charge these [amazon text=sneakers&asin=B019FKNWV4] the lights turn red and when they are completely charged they turn green- very cool feature. To turn them on and off, when the shoes are on you press where the charging cord is (on the outside, the cord is on the inside but you will have a general idea where it is) and they will change, if you hold it in they will turn off completely. If you want the colors to match on one of the fade settings you have to turn both [amazon text=shoes&asin=B019FKNWV4] on at the same time. There are several different settings and I show them all in the video.

It will take a little while to see how these hold up over time but for now my kid is psyched. I even had parents texting me yesterday to tell me how cool her [amazon text=shoes&asin=B019FKNWV4] were! My daughter did tell me that the soles are pretty sticky which is a good thing to me but she’s kind of klutzy so she was a little nervous wearing them for gym today but I’m sure after a while of wearing them they will get slick enough for her to feel completely comfortable running in them. 🙂

These are the biggest waste of money I have ever spent. My son had them for a day and they don’t work anymore. And because they’re being shipped from China, they took over a month to arrive. Thankfully, I got a refund, but it took a week to even get a reply from the seller. They were a third part merchandiser on a website owned by a very large and we’ll known company. They have removed the product and the merchandiser due to so many disappointed customers. My advise is don’t waste your money.

Good to know, I will add a note to the top of the post to see your comment. My daughter had no issues with hers until right when she outgrew them and one of the chargers came unhooked but she wore them for quite a while before that happened, I don’t know if it was because she got an earlier set that hers lasted longer but sorry you went through this. Thanks for the comment.
