UPHA 4ft LED Snow Tree Decoration
I am giving this tree 4 stars because I only intend to use it inside. If you are planning on using this outside I would give it 2 maybe 3 stars because I honestly have my doubts that it would last outside, at least in a climate like mine where it actually snows.
When this tree arrives it is flat but most of the branches bend so that you can fan it out to look like a real tree. The whole tree is covered in fake snow and honestly as someone who is currently surrounded by dead, snow covered trees it looks quite realistic. The bulbs are barely noticeable unless you look closely, that is until you turn it on and then they light up with a lovely glow and even send some nice shadows on the surrounding walls. The cord is nice and long and there is a switch on it so plugging it in is not an issue.
Where this tree loses points is the fact that the base is not wide or heavy enough to keep this from tipping over especially if you are planning on using it outside. The base is only 8″ square and that is not wide enough to support a tree this tall if it is windy. If there was an option to add stakes to stick it into the ground that might help. The other thing that I find odd is that the cord starts up so high on the tree, I don’t understand why the manufacturer didn’t bring it down to meet the base or even run it through the base. Also, I’m not 100% sure why electrical tape was included. The power source seems quite water resistant but the plug in is not grounded, it’s not necessary that it be grounded as not all my outside Christmas lights are grounded but it certainly wouldn’t hurt.
All that being said if you are like me and plan on using this for indoor decor, added decoration for your home, a space filler for a corner or a morbid Christmas tree substitute I don’t think you will be disappointed. If you are planning on using this outside you might want to look for something else.
